Introduction
《多米尼加共和国国歌》由荷西‧鲁菲诺‧雷耶斯‧西昂卡斯作曲，并由多米尼加律师埃米立欧‧蒲洛德洪恩撰写歌词。这首歌最先出现是在1883年8月17日的‘希望九号’民族运动中，当时的歌名为国歌。但是最初的歌词却被数名多米尼加学者给质疑，直到1897年普吕多姆提交了新版的歌词，也就是现在使用的版本。
随后新的国歌即被多米尼加国会通过为官方国歌，但是当时的多国总统尤里西斯‧赫雷兹却投下了反对票，只因为作曲家普吕多姆是他的政敌，在1899年赫雷兹总统遭到暗杀之前，该歌都没能成为官方国歌。直到1934年5月30日才被采用。
