Introduction

悠悠运河，静静流淌;荻港依山傍水，临水而居。四面环水、荻苇满溪生，因荻芦得名荻港，史上曾用名:荻岗、荻堽、荻溪。荻港，历史悠久，古迹众多，有市级文保单位三个，市级文保点四个。庙前桥、秀水桥、隆兴桥、馀庆桥等记载的31座古石桥，桥桥有别;章家三瑞堂、吴家礼耕堂、朱家鸿志堂等50座堂，名居之萃;还有那平铺着的石板路，纵横交错。荻港蕴含着典雅大气的古村气质，兴建于史称乾嘉盛世的南苕胜境;嘉庆帝御赐"玉清赞化"的金匾、耕读文化代表名噪一时的积川私塾;残照烟柳的千年古刹演教寺;门前宋代石狮、百年梧桐的总管堂;沿运河建于清代的约500多米外巷埭到临市河而建约1000多米的古老街市里巷埭。
