Introduction

1979年，叶佳修在海山唱片公司安排下认识了潘安邦，知道了潘安邦童年在澎湖与外婆祖孙情深的故事，为潘安邦写下这首歌。潘安邦当天立刻用公用电话，从台北打长途电话到澎湖给外婆。他说，当时他在电话里唱了这首歌，可是电话的那一头在他唱完后没有任何声音，他可以感觉到外婆在啜泣、流眼泪。这首歌背后藏着许多潘安邦与外婆的祖孙故事，潘安邦是用真情唱自己的故事
