《采茶灯》起源于龙岩市新罗区苏坂乡美山村，二百多年来，《采茶灯》代代相传。2005年，《采茶灯》被列为福建省首批非物质文化遗产保护项目。《扑蝶》这段音乐成为《采茶灯》的高潮部分。1952年福建省文化局在当地一次慰问部队演出后改名《采茶扑蝶》。1953年《采茶扑蝶》代表中国参加第四届世界青年联欢节并荣获银奖。从原生态的《采茶灯》，到改编后美轮美奂的《采茶扑蝶》，这一切的背后，是民间和专业文艺工作者对民族文化遗产的虔诚守护。
