Introduction

《万岁胜利者的桂冠》是1871到1918年间德意志帝国的非正式国歌，此歌曾为普鲁士国歌，其旋律来自英国国歌《天佑女王》。故此国歌并未在德国全境流行。此国歌并未被在德国南部州接受，如巴伐利亚及符腾堡。第一次世界大战后，德意志帝国不复存在，魏玛共和国选用《德意志之歌》作为国歌。
《在年轻的莱茵河上》是列支敦士登公国的国歌，和英国国歌天佑吾王旋律相同，自1963年歌词更改后（第一句歌词原为“Oben am deutschen Rhein”在德意志的莱茵河上），成为了列支敦士登的国歌。
原版歌词于1850年由瑞士牧师Jakob Josef Jauch（1802–1859）写成，而曾是德意志邦联一员的列支敦士登侯国，当时被认为是神圣罗马帝国的残存。而再早十年前，法国宣示了对莱茵河左岸的主权(1840年的莱茵危机)，触发了一系列的日耳曼莱茵歌曲，其中以《谁守卫在莱茵河上》（Die Wacht am Rhein）一曲最为知名。
Jauch所作的词于1920年被采用为国歌。在1963年，歌曲曾被修短，而引用到德意志一词的部分删除，例如: “am deutschen Rhein”（在德意志的莱茵河上）一句，成了“oben am jungen Rhein”（在年轻的莱茵河上），而“im deutschen Vaterland”（在德意志的祖国）成了“das teure Vaterland”（宝贵的祖国）。在原文第二段，包含了“Auf Deutschlands Wacht”（在德国的守卫下），和第三、四段一样完全被停止不再唱。
