游戏片尾曲《Why》由绚香演唱[54]。史克威尔艾尼克斯在2007年5月游戏加入《Why》的消息，绚香表示她对《核心危机》的故事非常着迷，并称她“想让《Why》与札克斯的命运一起进入许多人的心中”[55]。单曲《Why》于2007年9月5日在日本发行[56]。
