Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 1 in C Major, Op. 15

这部协奏曲创作于 1795 年——对于贝多芬来说，那是一个美好的年头。他三年前从波恩移居到维也纳，在追随海顿学习的同时逐渐建立了声望。此时的贝多芬已经出版了自己第一部作品《钢琴三重奏》的乐谱，也写好了第二部作品《钢琴奏鸣曲》，准备以钢琴家和作曲家的身份正式开启事业。1795年12 月或者 1796年1月，贝多芬首演了《第一号钢琴协奏曲》。经过多次公演后，这部乐曲于 1801年作为他的第15 号作品出版。尽管出版时间较晚，但这无疑是一部青春之作，是贝多芬展示自己天才钢琴技艺的载体。在“快-慢-快”的传统三乐章结构里，第一乐章最长也最为复杂。开场的军乐色彩被抒情的第二主题所冲淡，随后钢琴带着新的材料和大量精细复杂的音型入场。热情澎湃的炫技演绎在俯冲的八度音阶中达到高潮，宣告开篇主题的回归。贝多芬在此处可能会即兴演奏一段华彩，现代的钢琴家有许多选择，最常见的是他 1809年创作的华彩乐段，激动人心且具有明显的后期风格。中间乐章“广板”始终维持着平静的情绪，仿佛热情沙漠之间的一片宁静绿洲。接下来，终曲“回旋曲”展现了贝多芬激情澎湃的一面，高涨的热情一直延续到最后交响乐团出人意料的爆发。
